Women Collectives Anchored Integrated Second Chance Education and Vocational Learning Programme
Aaina in partnership with PRADAN and in collaboration with UN Women started the project “Women Collectives Anchored Integrated Second Chance Education and Vocational Learning Programme “on 2nd August 2019 in Dhenkanal district. The project is currently running in two blocks of Dhenkanal i.e. Kamakhynagar and Kankadahad. The main objective of this program is to work with young women and women between the age of 18 to 35 years and make them financially independent. The program aims to give gender training to 3000 young women and women, give formal education to the 350 women and young women who has been dropped out from the education, link 300 women and young women with the skill training institutes and give them proper employment and 50 women to start their own business.
In skill training, 96 young women and women have gone for skill training and 22 young women have been placed in different places/sectors. 378 young women and women have taken admission in NIOS to complete their 10th and 12th. 34 young women and women have started their business in Phenyl making, Agarbatti making, Pot making, Mask making and packaging. 46 young women have been digitally literate under basic computer operation and digitalization courses.
