WASH has become the primary focus of the Ananya project of aaina. A massive programmed in the project area was conducted creating awareness on Hygiene practices including hand wash among adolescent boys and girls. More than 5000 females (adolescent girls and women) and 1500 males (adolescent boys and men) were covered in 90 villages, 32 GPS and 5 blocks of Ganjam district.
Healthy and Hygienic practices were discussed especially while visiting toilets and and while handling garbage. Government workers such as DWSM Officer share information on hygiene practices as well.
Besides, 750 Single leach pit toilets were made in 3 villages of Bhanjanagar block and Jaganath Prasad Block. Funds for construction of toilets was mobilized from SBM with initiative of community.
