aaina has given responsibility by RGF for physical verification of the PWDs
for ATO (Access To Opportunity) Services-Distribution of Motorized Vehicle in
the state of Odisha. After physical verification of 36 selected Persons with
disabilities, 19 PWDs were selected for this service for the year-2013.
In this context a formal distribution programme was organised at VRC-Vocational
Rehabilitation centre, Bhubaneswar for the PWDs on 28.11.2013, where
Commissioner cum Secretary W & CD Department Ms. Arati Ahuja (IAS) attended as
Chief Guest along with Mr. Bibhuti Bhushan Pattanaik-Director for welfare of
PWDs, Govt. of Odisha Mr. R. K Sharma-Asst. Director of VRCH and Secretary of
aaina and EC members attended the programme to make it a grand success.
Mrs. Sneha Mishra-Secretary, aaina shared the objective of the programme with
the active support of RGF. Ms. Ahuja discussed on quality use of the motorized
vehicle. She also extends her sincere thanks to RGF for this opportunity in the
state of Odisha and helping the PWDs.
Representatives from Mahindra Ltd. discussed regarding use, care and maintenance
of motorized vehicle and how to drive safely. A video documentary on ability of
the PWDs along with different case studies of RGF was shared with the awardees
and escorts. Guests and Chef Guest distributed the vehicle to the 19 awardees.
It created a joyful atmosphere.
After Lunch break aII the awardees and escorts gathered in the meeting haII and
received vehicle documents from Mr. Vinod Sharma and Mr. Aditya -representative
from RGF.
At the end Mr. DiIIip BiswaI-Head of Programmes of aaina extend his sincere
thanks for the cooperation of aII the guests, VRC, RGF, representative of
Mahindra and aII the awardees and escorts for their active involvement to make
it a successful one.
