On Oct 5, 2016 Aaina conducted inauguration ceremony at Udyaan Fresh Fresh , Sailesri Vihar for Gift an Apple campaign on the occasion of Joy of Giving Week. Like every year, Udyaan Fresh was the partnering grocery store. The collection of apples took place at all the 4 Udyan Fresh counters in Bhubneswar as well as in Bhanjanagara and Kandhamal where a stall was arranged near the bustands.
The purpose of the campaign was through small initiatives and donations fulfilling a bigger objective of meeting the nutrition needs of underprivileged children in public schools and adding taste to their mid day meal served in school. Staff and, EC members of Aaina were present. After the puja holidays the collected apple were distributed among children of public school. To make the campaign successful, Aaina took the initiative to make people aware of the campaign through different source and motivated them to donate apples towards the cause.
By the end of the Gift an Apple Campaign a total 70 Kg apples were donated by people from Kandhamal, Bhanjanagar and Bhubaneswar. The apples were distributed to 250 children at Teraguda Primary School & Narayani Primary school in Kandhamal, Sadhu Gaon, Khariguda Primary school, Pudring primary school, Sanapathara Primary School, and Dengapadar Primary School in Bhanjanagar and Ekamra Nagar project primary school in Bhubaneswar.
