aaina felicitated the talented film makers on June 1 on the occasion of Hellen Keller's death anniversary at Hotel Suryansh, Bhubaneswar. Eminent guests present during the event were; Dr. Sarat Pujari, Educationist & film artist of yore, Ms. Kasturi Mahapatra (SCPWD), Mr. Ananta Mohapatra, reputed theatre personality & critic and Mr. Raj Kishore Mishra, eminent film Director and cinematographer. There were other delegates from corporate sector, bankers, Social Activist, and Media house.
Ms Nibedita Das, got second prize for her film "WHY" in five minute category. Mr. Santosh Panda for his film "THE ATTITUDE" & Mr. Subhaprada Sumit Nayak for his film "ONE FEET" got special mention award in the five minute category. Mr. Abhisekh Brahma & Mr. Basanta Patnaik for their film "STEP" which was their first ever attempt at film documentation got special mention award.
Award winning movies were screened at the event and the film makers were felicitated by the guests. The movies won the hearts of the guests and they generously praised the hard work, talent and emotion reflected in each of the movies screened. The film makers also briefly shared their experiences of making the movie. Abhishek Brahma, aaina employee at the time of movie making, shares, It was a nice experience for me to be selected at the National We Care Film Fest. I am very much thankful to aaina for giving me an opportunity for showing my talent in front of everyone and also to the juries. Hope I will able to give another movie next year and through my movie can serve the persons with disability better.
