Like every year Aaina and UNICEF partnered to organize Kallola short film contest based on Child Rights. This year's theme is Water and Children with focus on safe water. A day long work shop / interactive session with film makers who registered with Kallola, was held on the 11th of Sept 2018 at Hotel Hindustan International, Bhubaneswar. It was attended by a total of 60 participants, members of Aaina, UNICEF, resource persons and partner bodies. The workshop entailed brief on film making tools as well as analysis of the theme and its vitality from different perspectives with focus on children as target group and change makers.
Ms Alka Gupta from UNICEF spoke on "Understanding child rights" and linking it with the theme. One of the guests suggested a bit of research and study to understand their theme better .An exhaustive one day workshop was an effort to equip prospective film makers with apt knowledge and understanding of the theme its importance,and tools and mechanisms to present an idea in a form of short film.
