Meets wishes of more than 100 children
This year Aaina was lucky to put up the Wish Tree at two Corporate premises i.e.Maitri TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) and Bharti Infratel Pvt. Ltd. during Daan Utsav. Wish tree is basically a tree prepared that contains specific wishes of people needing support and the related amount to meet that wish. Since aaina works with people with disability, most of the wishes were in relation to meet the educational or physical needs of children with disability. The tree was placed at the partner organization's premises during Daan Utsav (Oct 2-Oct 8). The time was further extended due to Durga Puja Holidays.
Staff of Bharti Infratel and TCS Bhubneswar showed very positive response and by the end of the period, Aaina could raise Rs. 40620 (forty thousand six hundred twenty) to meet the wishes of 120 children including children with disability. Different needs of children such as notebooks and other education materials, mats for children to sit on were fulfilled.
The distribution of the materials will take place soon and the staff of TCS and Bharti Infratel showed keen interest to be a part of the distribution process.
