Deafblind children set to have Individual Home Based Plan
Reaching the Unreached project of aaina that identifies the issues of deafblind children, this quarter invested in conducting disability survey in and around Bhubaneswar municipality. Five more children with deaf blindness and Multi Sensory Impairment were identified. Depending upon each child's capabilities a need assessment and Individual home based plan was prepared by the staff with the support of the parents. The objective is to impart daily living skills to deaf blind children and their parents so that children can slowly move towards performing the activities independently. Individual home based plan was developed for all 20 children including the school going and anganwadi going children. The children are followed up by the CBR worker on a weekly basis along with the special educator.
