aaina celebrates JOY OF GIVING WEEK Joy of Giving Week widely celebrated in India promotes the art of ‘Giving’ among the people to bring smiles on the faces of underprivileged. This year aaina collaborated with JGW Odisha chapter and celebrated the week which also coincided with the We Care Film Festival. It gave aaina a scope to raise funds for the film festival. The celebration of JOG week started on 2nd Oct. which was also observed as World Cerebral Palsy Day. On the occasion, aaina organised a rally of children with cerebral palsy from Ekamra Haat to Institute of Engineers, Unit-4, BBSR.
The week was also cerebrated jointly by TCS- ASHWASAN and aaina. A wish tree was put at TCS, Bhubaneswar premises to raise funds for the children with disabilities at Amo Vidyalaya, an inclusive school of aaina. Total 300 wishes were put on the wish tree out of which around 100 could turned into smiles by raising funds of Rs. 42500/-.
Another important event was Bouquet of Buffet- a charity dinner along with some entertainment by star hotels of the city organized on 5th of Oct. 2013 at Hotel Mayfair lagoon, BBSR. The event was to celebrate the JOG week where six star hotels of BBSR presented the best of their cousins. The event was open to the public and organization partnering with JOG was responsible to sell the dinner tickets to raise funds for their respective work. The dishes served were highly appreciated by the guests. Through this event aaina was able to raise funds of Rs. 118000/- . Moreover, aaina was the only organization that could raise funds from a corporate house by Bouquet of Buffet.
