Mr Sasank Kumar Padhi, State Program Manager SCBRB shares his views aaina has been instrumental in achieving Save the Children’s project objective since the year2010; for ensuring stronger voice to excluded children in Govt. & NGO policies and programme in kandhamal district of Odisha. AAINA started the intervention in Kandhamal at a critical juncture when tension gripped the district in the aftermath of group clashes. They started with immediate response and built on the programme with the support of Save the Children to organise children and community members to address the issues of social exclusion and its impact on children.
aaina with its committed staff members has successfully been able to build rapport with local communities, PRIs, govt. functionaries in Kandhamal and above all, established the credibility of Save the Children in one of the backward districts of Odisha by reaching out to the marginalised children and their families. The partnership between Save the Children & AAINA has evolved through the process of mutual learnings.
