Celebrating Cerebral Palsy Day: Reinforcing the rights to participate and grow

Aaina celebrated World Cerebral Palsy Day on October 6 by creating awareness about the rights of people with disabilities and children with cerebral palsy. The children getting services at Aaina formed a human chain in front of a popular Mall Big Bazaar in the city. The messages on the placards spread messages on their rights and abilities. The children also participated in games organized by Aaina staff at state learning center. The celebration continued as children and people with disabilities from Aaina and other organization participated in inclusive games at a well known and esteemed educational institute XIMB. The celebration was a platform for society to comprehend the abilities, rights and existence of the people with disabilities as any other citizen deserving equal respect, dignity and apt environment to participate and develop.
